We are using this as a shoe cabinet. Wayfair calls it a bookshelf, but I don’t think I would ever recommend it for books — the shelves are not adjustable and are way too short for books. They are perfect for our shoes, though! Even our boots fit nicely on the taller shelves. I am giving four stars because the construction of the doors, though cute, is not very sturdy at all. If you have active pets or kids I think they’re likely to break easily. Hopefully ours hold up since it’s in an out of the way location in our home, but only time will tell. I was honestly very pleased with the finish on this. The color and finish texture and sheen are nice. Easy enough to put together. Arrived in a box that struggled to hold it all together but pieces were fine. More sturdy tape a couple times around would have been great. Edit ok it’s up.
