The lid features a silent, soft-close mechanism that effectively traps odors, while a stay-open option is available for larger tasks. The removable inner bucket, equipped with convenient handles, ensures easy cleaning and secure bag placement. Crafted from rust-resistant stainless steel, this trash can is both easy to clean and stylish, complementing any decor. With a durable metal pedal and a back handle for easy movement, it also includes 15 perfectly fitting liner bags.

Love my new trash can. The one I had was also from Wayfair, but it was wider and the step to open was in the front. I was tired of retouching the cabinet due to the lid always scuffing it. This one is slim design and taller. Holds the same amount of trash 13 gallons. Only this one opens towards a wall and all I have to do is pull it way from it so it doesn't hit it. I didn't have that option with the other one that is now on by back patio. This is perfect for a small kitchen and not having to give up and trash space. Came quickly too. This modern wastebasket is perfectly designed for limited space. A simple square footprint belies the trash can's hidden features that keeps the trash equally hidden.

Sleek, gorgeous design, and the inner mechanism for the trash lining is pretty neat. You do have to stretch the bags a bit, but it’s very functional and spacious without seeming too big. It’s a little expensive for what ends up being plastic, but it’s still really gorgeous and it seems easy to keep clean.. Nina. Sheffield, MA. Thu Oct 08 2026

Like except for sharp edges on end that marred my inside cabinet door. I need to learn to open door all the way. I could cover ends with duct tape I guess. But it would be good idea for rounded ends on bottom for us klutzes. Joanne. Greenwood Village, CO. Wed Sep 30 2026

A custom delay sensor keeps the ABS-plastic dual lid from sliding open at inopportune moments, while the unit's patented soft-close system keeps the peace and quiet front and center. Perfect size for my spot! My trashcan is in a bit of an inconvenient spot in my kitchen and having to walk over and step to open it got old. I love that this can has an open top and I love that it’s simple human!. Daria. Media, PA. Fri Sep 11 2026

This was not hard but not easy to put together. The downside is that it can’t get wet so I have it in a shelter outside. But it is very convenient for our family gatherings. This is one of the best decisions I made for our family space.. Sonya. Providence Rhode Island. Sun Sep 13 2026

Brabantia’s NewIcon step can, 7.9 gallons (30L) has an iconic design and is a reliable worker too. Sturdy, and always stands strong because of its non-slip base and anti-tilting block. Thanks to the unique soft-closure feature, it closes smoothly. And of course, this NewIcon step trash can is hygienic, odor-proof, easy to open, and clean. Perfect for your kitchen or any other room that could use 8 gallons of timeless design.

I searched carefully for a trashcan that would both look good in the kitchen and be the right size for a small household (1- 2 people). This one is perfect. I chose platinum because I didn’t want it to be too shiny. It’s tall enough (26 inches) to hold a 13 gal., tall kitchen trash bag, but narrow enough (11.5 inch diameter) that I can still open my cabinets. (See photos.) The capacity is only 8 gallons, but if the bag has a drawstring, it’s easy to make a 13-gal. gal bag fit well. It comes with three 8-gal. bags, but I like to use bigger bags so that I can add other trash to it before I take it out.. Dee. IL. Thu Jul 02 2026

It's a little too large for my kitchen but .. I am keeping it, I'm very happy with the sleek look, matte black, bag doesn't show around the edges..and I'm not constantly emptying it. Nice large opening and the height means no stooping down to scrape plates etc.. Sheila. Penticton, BC. Thu Oct 15 2026

With brushed plastic accents, a hassle-free swing-top lid, and an integrated neck ring, this attractive garbage can keeps your waste (and garbage bag) out of sight and out of mind.

Looks like metal. Holds lot of trash.. Roseann. Manchester Township, NJ. Thu Oct 22 2026

The Rectangular Waste Receptacle has a clean, modern appearance and practical design. A generous, 13.5-gallon capacity is large enough to handle daily traffic and the convenient rectangular shape will fit against a wall or corner. The swivel lid is precisely weighted to flip closed, concealing waste and reducing odors. This receptacle is constructed from recycled heavy gauge 304-grade steel; it won't rust easily and its hygienic surface has no pores that harbor dirt or bacteria. The included galvanized liner stores, discards, and provides easy maintenance.

Followup review. I've found a bag that works perfectly for this bin. "HOMMP 18 Gallon Large Kitchen Trash Bags, Heavy Duty" are the bags. They are blue and in a big roll but no other bag works as well. I've tried at least 10 types of bags over a couple years and this is the one to use. My original review was 2 stars. But, now I've found the right bags and learned how to properly position the internal bin so I've bumped it to a 4. To get 5 stars on this product, I'd need to see a non-warped top piece.. Chad. It’s sturdy fits where I need it to. Doesn’t look cheap. I recommend it!. Salam. Thu Oct 15 2026
