We tried reaching out to Wayfair customer service but was told nothing could be done. The chairs are adult owned and used - no harsh treatment by any means. We feel disappointed in the quality (or lack of), but also in Wayfair's refusal to stand behind a product they sold. I got the smaller sized chair and it fits me so much better than the large ones do. It is wonderful to have storage compartments in the wasted space on the sides of the chair too. I can put the ipad/device holder inside one of them when I am not using it. It is wonderful not to have to run a cord across the room in order to charge my phone as well. I LOVE THIS CHAIR. I love La Z Boy rocker recliners and have had them for over 50 years, but this is the best one yet. The speed of the footrest lowering is the fastest yet. That home button is GREAT! Our only complaint is the seat sits too high in conjunction with the arms. This makes the arms totally useless. If I had noticed this in the photos on Wayfair, I probably wouldn’t have ordered it. As soon as my husband sat in it, we realized the issue with the arms. To remedy this, I bought two bolster pillows so my husband can rest his arms on them.
