Some pieces you own; others you live in. The Vancouver chair is the second kind, an invitation to slow down at the end of the day, leather softening beneath you as the room settles into something that feels entirely your own. It's finished with a smooth 360-degree swivel base, the kind of detail that rewards a second glance. What makes this leather special? The leather here is 100% top grain on all sides, real hide from edge to edge, with none of the splits or bonded material found in lower-grade upholstery. Its semi-aniline finish is what gives it that soft-to-the-touch feel, protected by a light wax coating that only grows richer with age. Sourcing only the finest leather cuts keeps the surface looking and feeling consistently premium. How is this piece constructed? This chair is handmade in Mexico by skilled artisans, and it's genuinely made to order, leather cutting begins only once you place your order, not before. Underneath the upholstery is a solid wood frame, hand-crafted for durability, joined with expert construction and a webbing support system that keeps the structure sound for years of daily use. What makes the cushions comfortable and supportive? This chair's comfort comes from a two-part system: foam-and-feather back cushions for plush softness, and pocket-coil, foam, and feather seat cushions for support that actually lasts. A sinuous coil system beneath the seat adds resilience, so the comfort you feel on day one is still there years later. How should I care for it, and how will it age? This chair asks very little in terms of upkeep, regular dusting and the occasional dry-cloth wipe will keep it looking great. What it will do on its own is age beautifully: the leather develops a natural patina over time that adds depth and character rather than wear. It's built, and finished, to be part of your home for the long run.
