This is a great product. Directions say to cut with utility scissors. They do not work. There are parts of the tiles that are very thick and utility scissors cannot cut it. I used a dremel with a diamond cutting wheel and had no issues. I laid this right over ceramic tiles after cleaning with acetone. It stuck well and looks really good!. Tamara. Monument, CO. It's important to note that with this design, the center square goes above the ceiling grid vs. sitting below it, so this is perfect for my application as the basement in my home is quite low in some areas where there is duct work, allowing me to optimize head space versus other designs that droop below the ceiling grid. I love these tiles!! My mantel had an empty gap that always bothered me. They are easy to work with and cut, I used an angle grinder and it worked great. I did score the tiles with a glass cutter and I also taped the tiles where I needed to grind to.
