This is a very elegant cutting board with the unique chalkboard feature on one side and includes food safe chalk. I didnt like that the chalk part is textured and hard to write or draw on. This is definitely a hand was only piece and I feel like its more decorative than functional. The butcher block cutting surface on the back is unfinished and the side with the chalk board is really lightly coated. Im not sure if cutting boards get seasoned but I feel like using this board with certain items would cause discoloration. I would be okay with that because I think the patina would give it character after use, but it may not he for everyone.. Jennifer. Wed Dec 23 2020
