For the most part, I am happy with the fountain… I wanted something on my deck to help create some serenity and tune out noises from my neighborhood. I wish it was a bit louder but there is nothing that can drown out the sound of screaming kids. One of the three lights didn’t work but I wasn’t interested in the light feature so disconnected that. There were a couple of small chips on the fountain but not too big of a deal. The tube had some scratches which I only hope is that it doesn’t decay with use. It’s a gorgeous fountain. I don’t know how anyone would be able to hook this up without professional help. It took two men to lift it out of the box piece by piece and assemble it. It has a great water sound and a bit of a splash. Because it’s on pavers I’m not sure what I can do to prevent the splash on the floor. This solar fountain is made of lightweight and durable stone-grey polyresin and fiberglass and features a pineapple topper with two stacked basins. Water flows from the top pineapple into the central basin, which fills and then overflows into the largest bottom pool before circulating. This fountain operates via solar power or the battery. In bright sunlight, the panel powers the pump while the battery pack collects and stores a charge. When cloudy or nighttime, the battery pack will activate and power the unit; when fully charged, it can do so for as many as 4 hours. When the batteries are depleted, the system automatically attempts to draw power from the panel and will resume running once the sun come out.
