It’s a little less stable on carpet than I would like so if you have kids definitely secure it. The bookcase was fairly easy to put together, though it probably would have gone faster if my dog Unni had not been trying to “help” during assembly. It ended up being a little smaller than I originally expected, but that was on me for not checking the dimensions closely enough before ordering. In the end, it worked out well as a compact bookshelf for the bedroom. One of my favorite features is the built in lighting. The brightness is adjustable, which makes it great for softer nighttime lighting. I personally don’t use the touch slider controls very often because it also comes with a remote, which is honestly really convenient since I can adjust the lights without getting out of bed. Overall, it’s a nice looking shelf with a modern feel and works well for smaller spaces. That said, it made me realize I’ll probably still need to find a larger bookshelf for my living room.. Trisha. Pretty nice shelves, but know that 2 shelves are fixed position. Also the center brace at the back of the unit shows noticeably behind that middle shelf (if you look closely at the stock photos you can see it clearly). The arch adds a little charm but does make that top shelf a bit limited as to what you can put there. Also the white stickers to cover the cam bolts are not an ideal solution. This is a nice, spacious bookcase. I do not give 5* because it came damaged. I ordered 2 bookcases and both came with a damaged side panel. Also I was not impressed how it looks in general. Coating looks cheap. Probably I would not buy it if I saw this bookcase in store. But it is too much work to return them and expensive too.
