After waiting a few months for this bed on back-order, we finally have it in our bedroom! Were happy with the look and quality so far. We purchased it to fit in a small bedroom in the hope that the generous 11 under-bed clearance would allow the headboard to fit overtop of our condos radiator so that the headboard could be pushed right to the wall. Unfortunately, the stated dimensions are a bit deceiving and the actual under-bed clearance is closer to 9. We will have to use some wooden risers to make the bed high enough to clear the radiator. A small complaint for an otherwise beautiful bed. First time online bed buyer and super happy with my purchase! In the midst of a bedroom remodel. Got king size in natural, arrived next day, no damage, had all parts, didn't take too long for two people to put together - appx 30 min; however, I think the spacers weren't the correct size because we ended up with two slats that weren't accounted for at the end, but we just respaced slightly and it was fine. I really appreciated the velcro for the slats so they don't move around when spacing - someone thought that through! You will also need a drill to screw in the slats. Headboard and footboard are not completely solid, but sturdy and the height is good for us. Also, purchased the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate Mattress and it fit perfectly. It is a very pretty and sturdy bedframe. I took a star off because they were not pre-drilled holes for some screws and that was unclear in the directions. It took me one hour and and and 45 minutes to put it together as one person. Also two of the side pieces were the same so I had to unscrew the brackets and switch them so they would become opposite side frames. Sturdy bedframe that arrives in a heavy box that was relatively easy to put together. With 2 people and a drill it went by in about an hour. I like the height of the bed and how it allows for some underneath storage if needed. I do wish the USB ports were on both sides of the headboard, but otherwise no complaints.. Maddie. If you prefer a visible headboard, stick with a lower-profile mattress or plan to add pillows for a layered look.
