They are kind of ‘rugged’ — I was hoping for a little more elegance but really good product for the price if the look works for you. Not bad! Looks just like the photo in the description. Measured 100 times before I ordered. There is more of a gap towards the bottom right than top. At the top, both sides start at about 34” gap. At the bottom, the right gap ends up being about 1 ¼” and the left about ½”. Mounting was easy as I had slatted blinds, so I just popped those off and replaced the brackets for the new ones - a quick Google search and YouTube video helped. Took about 30 minutes by myself..
