I probably wouldn't have bought something like this from Wayfair normally, but I lumped them in with other basement-related items I was getting and I'm glad I did! I had spent some time researching lights like this and a lot of them were either way more expensive and/or smaller, per unit, but these are a decent size, which makes for a cooler effect when they're all connected up together. Speaking of "effect", these lights are able to put on a show with a variety of patterns, some of which are selectable via the remote, but others for which you'll need the app, which is easy enough to setup and use. The music sync feature worked just OK, though I only tested it with a small speaker--maybe it'll work better with a more robust sound system in play. All-in-all, a solid product for the little project I was looking to do (you can see we have a nice little hallway in the basement for these to light up and have the kids run through). Note: I actually bought two sets of these and was able to get almost all of them connected, as you can see in the picture (I obviously hadn't mounted them yet), though there seems to be a limit to how *long* of a linkage you can create. If you look at the picture, any units I added on to the end would fail to light up, though that same unit would work if I connected it to the side of one of the lights already in the chain. I didn't spend a lot of time figuring out exactly what the limits are, but there seems to be something. Update couldnt wait any longer. I asked a professional how to install thos light they told me exactly how to do and I did it. It was actually easy. The only hard part was holding my arms up to attach to the ceiling, and getting over the fear that im going to electrocute myself. I shook the fear off and I did it. It took me a little longer because I didnt have a ladder but if I did it would have been done in a flash. My daughter loves it. What I like about it is that it has several light options. You know when you have your light on but its just not bright enough or its to bright. This light fixes all of that with the different light settings. My daughter likes the color option the best. With easy instructions. However my son told his sister he will put it up for her when he gets back from deployment so I know this light has got to be 5 stars because shes waiting. I have very poor lighting in my house and was thinking of installing recessed lighting, but then I found this, which is a much less expensive option. Love! This is a super cute and charming flush mount chandelier. I needed something with a smaller footprint for my closet (I’m trying to make it a little bit coastal glam). It was packaged really well and came with a little bag of extra capiz shells, but luckily I didn’t have any damaged parts so I will keep them for backup. It was a little tedious hooking all the strands to the fixture, but not hard at all (and pretty self explanatory, which is good because the instructions were not great). Also, I had to buy special bulbs (E14) online - my local hardware store did not carry them.
