Daughter loves her bed! It seems pretty sturdy. The negatives for me are the side opposite of the desk is unfinished, it just has black backing on the side so it limits where the bed can be placed from an aesthetic perspective it basically has to be in a corner if you don’t want to see the black backing side. You definitely need two people to put this together as it is cumbersome and 1 person alone can’t hold pieces where they need to be wrenched into place as it is slightly elevated.. Ashley. Arrived in 3 separate boxes (the heaviest two at about 100 lbs), so be prepared for that. Assembly took about 4 hours from start to finish, so it's a real project. Did run into a few issues during construction. Two of the holes (right next to each other) were drilled too large, had to use washers so the screw wouldn't go through the hole. Would have been a hassle if I didn't have the part handy. Also, there was some damage... A bunch scratches, and the soft headboard had a pretty deep hole in the bottom. All that being said, the design is very solid. Tons of storage space, feels sturdy. Built in LED lights and plugs are a nice touch. Dimensions seem as advertised (though the listing said a 6" mattress works, and that feels a little thick for the 10" rail). This was a difficulty build I almost sent it back. There were a lot of holes that didnt exist. At first we thought we maybe had done it backwards so we took it apart and restarted only to find out the holes were missing.
