Lovely, well made bench. I like that the back is slightly curved which is great for lumbar support. I wish the depth of the seat was a little bit greater. From back to front it measures 17.5 inches, which feels a little shallow even for me at 5'4" tall. I also wish the back was leaned back at a slight angle versus being straight up & down. This curved back of this bench offers more relaxed seating. Very simple and stylish design, perfect for sitting in your garden, patio or porch. It also would work great as extra seating for outdoor entertaining or dining. Also don't forget to pick up a cushion for this bench.

I received this bench on June 3, 2023. My husband and I worked together to construct it. I was very disappointed to find in the instructions that it is to be constructed with small dowel pegs. No screws are included. The instructions tell u that if a dowel breaks off while u are using a rubber mallet to hammer it in then u need to use a 1/8 drill bit to drill that one out and insert another one. I would have rather the manufacturer design this bench with screws as part of the construction which would have provided more strength and stability. However, we decided to give it a try and we began to construct it. Several dowels broke and I had to do as the instructions noted. It seems to be fairly tight together at this point but I will be monitoring it as time goes by. I applied a coat of Teak Oil to it and it brings out the beautiful grains and color. While I really like the look and feel of the seat and it went together pretty quickly, it did have a crack in the arm (see photo) it wasn’t worth returning after putting together given the price.
