It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. I'm a 67 yr. old petite woman and I just finished assembling this cabinet by myself, using only a screwdriver and it took me about 3 hours. It's very well made, instructions are easy to follow, but I did see the complaints about the difficulty with the doors, but I did not have a problem with the doors. Be aware that if your TV is 55" like in the photo, once you position it on the cabinet the TV legs will hang off either the front or back of the cabinet. This Farmhouse TV stand compliments our living area perfectly. We have a fairly small 1 bedroom apartment and this TV stand fit perfectly in the space without being overwhelming. The wood is of nice quality and not just a finished particle board which makes the price very reasonable for the quality of the furniture. The assembly took a little over an hour but was not difficult nor was following the instructions with all tools and screws included, you just have to assemble every piece including the drawers. It took my husband around 2 hours solo to put it together. The sliding door is such a cute feature. We didn’t use one shelf to give us more space and it didn't ruin with the design. Looks amazing and the quality is good. The only reason why I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because of the instruction quality when putting the sliding doors on. It was not very clear that you have to use the wax stick first and as a result part of the back wood broke off slightly.
