Our only slight disappointment was that the two doors are cut short for a fireplace so if you do not use a fireplace they give you two clear pieces of Plexiglas to attach to the doors to fill in the space. This product is exactly what you see in the photos. Even though the assembly instructions mention that you need a helper, I managed to assemble it on my own with no problems. Now you may need some help carrying the package, because it weighs around 85 pounds. The delivery man didn't seem to have a problem it, but I sure did. I was impressed on how well it was packed. Expect precision sheets of foam surrounding most of the parts. There were no scratches anywhere I could find. The instructions are well illustrated, and the hardware and parts are well labeled. I had been looking for something that would give my living room a cleaner, more finished look without being overly bulky, and this piece ended up being exactly what I was hoping for. It has a modern, low-profile design that fits perfectly underneath my TV. The item arrived quickly, and everything was packaged extremely well. When I opened the boxes, I was happy to see that all the pieces were in excellent condition. Nothing was missing, so I didn’t have to stop halfway through assembly and wait for replacement hardware or pieces to be shipped. Speaking of assembly, this was probably the biggest surprise for me. The instructions recommend having two people. However, I was able to do most of the assembly by myself. The instructions were straightforward, the pieces were clearly designed to fit together, and the hardware was easy to identify. The build time was also reasonable. I was expecting this to turn into an all-day project, but it really didn’t take nearly as long as I anticipated. I would still recommend giving yourself some space to work and organizing the screws and hardware before starting, but overall, assembly was much easier than expected. Once it was completely assembled, I was happy with the overall appearance. I especially love how low the TV stand sits. I prefer a lower-profile entertainment setup because it gives the room a more open and modern feel rather than making the TV look like it’s sitting on top of a huge piece of furniture. The proportions work well with my TV, and the stand has a clean, streamlined appearance. The storage is also practical. There is enough open space to store gaming accessories, books, controllers, consoles, or decorative items while keeping everything looking relatively clean. The materials are sturdy and look like they are of good quality. The tabletop charging area is great and I love the fact that I don’t need a cumbersome power strip. The lighting is a fun addition.
