This bookcase is so cute! I like that it looks different from other bookcases I have. The rounded top and its narrow build are what caught my attention. I have small rooms with very little storage. So, this bookcase fits perpendicular to a wall, which is what I need. It was very easy to put together alone. The directions were clear, and a bonus is that it came with the screwdriver I used to build it. The rounded top is actually a flat poster board material. Well, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm very disappointed in the woodgrain "look", and the fact that some of it was peeling off the particle board as I was trying to put it together. Also, the directions are extremely poor! They don't show front/back, or any of that. IT was very confusing and difficult to put together. It has "a b c d e f g", et cetera on all of the pieces listed in the catalog, but the only things that were marked on the items to put together was a and b. Very disappointing! I couldn’t have found a better shelf for the space I needed. We live in an old house that we are remodeling so needless to say our spaces are wonky. We have a space next to our safe and this shelf fits perfectly in width depth and height. My only complaint is that the backing was not aligned and I had to remove the tape that held it together to re-aligned it. It caused the piece to crack a little which is ok since this is hidden and for storage. Impressed with the hardware - all metal. And it comes with a magnetic screw driver!
