Great chest for what I needed. It's attractive and I chose the stained brown which matches my other bedroom furniture. It's a nice size and for me held about 3 quilts, one blanket, and a couple of shams if you roll or fold right. Pretty roomy for the size regardless but fairly compact for smaller spaces. Easy to put together. The hinge is nice because it holds the lid open and prevents it from slamming down. Sturdy construction and parts do not feel cheap so for the price this is very good. The trunk is a beautiful piece of sturdy solid wood. I purchased it because it has the black metal legs and front handle that complements my current industrial bedroom furniture. Only four stars because it arrived damaged in two places. One at the left hinge attachment to the wood trunk, the other is a split in the wood on the right side of the trunk where the leg attaches. We were able to nail the wooden block into place to attach the metal leg securely and hopefully prevent further splintering. The quality control needs to be in place for both the preparation of the furniture for shipment AND ensuring the shipper HANDLES THE FURNITURE WITH CARE DURING SHIPMENT. I love this little cabinet! I like to do my skincare routine in my living room (outside of face washing, of course) instead of the bathroom or bedroom. It's the perfect size to hold not only all the products I use for morning and night, but also the medications we regularly use - just make sure you pay attention to the picture that lists the dimensions, and then measure the space you where you want to put it to make sure it's the right size for you. The little drawers are great for lip balms, eye drops, lighters, and other small things. For anyone complaining that the wood is of poor quality: you're not going to get a new solid wood piece for $40 or less, so not sure what you expected. That said, I actually think it's very well constructed, and the only "cheap"feeling thing about it are the plastic window panes, which another reviewer prettied up with those cute privacy window film, and I think I'm going to do the same myself..
