I purchased these for the living room thinking. I was going to go more Polynesian in my second home when I got new furniture. That didn’t happen so I put them in the bedroom. I decided to keep the lamps because I love everything else about them. I did read where some ppl felt the gold on the base looked cheap but I didn’t think so, just the finials…but you really can’t tell once the finials are in place. The lamps are a classy timeless look!
