Very pleased with this composter. It took about 1hr to put together. The instructions were clear and concise. The screws and such were clearly labeled and in separate bags. It has 2 separate bins within the 50 gallon barrel design which rotates for faster composting of yard leaves and kitchen plant-based scraps 3. It is raised above the ground on a stand to keep the squirrels ️ and other rodents away that had been raiding our last bin 4. I bought this as an addition to my tote worm bin as the worms needed to be divided. I have a tote style for a year and wanted to try a tower. The lid does not snap on like the tote top. Whether this is going to be a problem, I don’t know. My tote has 3 coverings: plastic wrap, then paper grocery bag, then cloth held on with 2 types of bands. Just having a lid sitting on bin is the opposite of my other bin. Instructions were unclear and I emailed customer service and never heard back. No idea what or how to use the spigot. Will search you tube. I think this is a good kit with lots of extras that I havent had to use but fun to have to be more expert (temperature gage, ph balance thing).. Mary. Belfast, ME. Awesome little compost trash can. We have a garden and we compost pretty much everything possible. This composter keeps the smell in. It came with a soap dispenser and brush and their own container. The composter bags are biodegradable and the roll is actually bigger than I expected. The composter holds a lot and the inside bin comes out for easy dumping. It fits tight inside so I havent found it messy yet. Since the bags are biodegradable, you have to be gentle with putting them into the container. They arent meant to stretch like regular plastic bags. It was easy to assemble, and I lined the bottom with the cardboard box it came in before immediately starting to fill it. . a simple way to help suppress weeds and invite worms while the cardboard breaks down naturally. One thing to know is that it's heavy! I recommend deciding where you want it before putting it together because it's not something you'll want to move afterward. The heavy-duty construction feels like it will outlast every wooden compost bin I've owned, which eventually succumbed to rot and weather. My only complaint is the price.
