This is a very small pan, which is exactly what I wanted. My go to pan was Farberware, and it is over 20 years old, horrible condition as it will not even fry an egg without sticking now. We are great cooks in this house and somehow we can still make our old pans work. BUT....This Viking pan is next level amazing. I see why its so expensive. It is heavy like a cast iron pan and I love love love that!! I cooked an egg in it without using any oil. Now I am obsessing and want a whole set. I just have to figure out a way to explain to my husband why we need 600 pots and pans lol. Maybe I can compare my pots and pans to some of those high end tools he has in the garage lol. Care and Use Instructions: OVEN SAFETY AND STOVETOPS: Tri-ply stainless steel cookware is oven safe to 500F (350F if using a glass lid) and is compatible on all cooktops / heat sources. Please lift, not drag, cookware off of stovetops to prevent scratching. Do not use in the microwave or broiler USE: Before first use, hand wash with warm soapy water Preheat your pan on low to medium heat for a couple of minutes. Once heated pour enough cold oil into the pan to cover to cooking surface. To avoid food sticking while cooking do not disturb the food and allow the natural sugars to caramelize in the pan and release naturally. If your heat is too high sticking may occur so please make sure to use low to medium heat only except for boiling. Please use oven mitts when removing from the oven as the handles will be hot. Metal, wood, plastic, and heat resistant nylon tools are safe to use in stainless steel cookware. Do not use knives, sharp kitchen tools or an electric hand mixer in your cookware, as they may scratch lining. CLEANING:Tri-ply cookware is dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing only with warm soapy water. Please allow the pan to cool before washing. To remove stuck on foods you may: Fill cookware with a small amount of water and place over low heat until food is softened and easy to remove. Use a specialist stainless steel cookware cleaning product and follow the instructions on the label. - Discoloration may occur from using too high of heat. To remove: Rub the cookware with a cloth dampened with lemon juice or white vinegar. Use a specialist stainless steel cookware cleaning product and follow the instructions on the label. You may also continue to rub the pan with a hand towel to ensure the oil is evenly coated throughout the pan. Place you pan back on the stove and heat until smoking. Be sure to also heat the sides of the pan over the flame to ensure the entire surface area is heated. Once smoking turn the heat off and allow the pan to cool quickly. HOW TO SEASON CARBON STEEL - OVEN METHOD: Place a foil lined baking sheet into the bottom rack of your oven. Preheat your oven to 475F to 500F. -While oven is preheating - Wash pan with warm soapy water dry with towel and then place on stovetop and heat to ensure the pan is thoroughly dried. One pan is dry use oil of choice and with a paper towel apply around the interior and exterior of the pan. You may also continue to rub the pan with a hand towel to ensure the oil is evenly coated throughout the pan. Place pan into the fully heated oven upside down on the rack above the foil lined baking sheet. Leave pan in the oven for an hour. After an hour turn off the oven but leave the pan in there until it is cool to the touch.

Im very disappointed in this cookware I paid way to much for it to not be better than it is. The Dutch oven cooker tarnished while fixing chili in it. Then it says it dishwasher safe and when I washed the smallest skillet it had like rust in it. I never write bad reviews but this one needs to be wrote so people will know. Love love I’m surprised how thick it is and a nice weight not too heavy and not to large. I have all clad pans and this is a nice addition to an everyday pot . I bought it mainly to make rice bc of the width it’s hard to find pot that’s aren’t narrow for rice .This is perfect for it I haven’t made anything else in it yet just rice but seems it’ll be my got too for many dishes . What a work of art I thought I was crazy for spending so much money on 1 single pot after opening it I have zero regrets.I did some research before buying and was scared I would get a Chinese copy but as you can see from the photo it has made in Brazil right on the bottom to me that’s a big win.When I took it out of the box I thought forsure it had something in it because it’s extremely heavy for it size and the fit and finish is top notch very pleased with my purchase hopefully this will last me a lifetime much better than replacing 15-20$ pot every few years after the toxic coatings come off in my food.. This is my first set of stainless cookware. I ordered this cookware based on the price of the set and the adorable style. I am not really that fond of cooking, but this sweet set has made cooking much more enjoyable. I have had them about a month and have been using them regularly. They clean up beautifully. I took a photo of the inside of the pot that gets the most use. As you can see, it still looks almost brand new.
