Our crank is simple and straightforward to use: just attach it to your awning’s gearbox and turn the crank to open and close your awning. This crank is the perfect replacement for the hand crank that comes with each ALEKO brand Half Cassette awning. Due to its simple design, this hand crank is also compatible with most other popular awning brands as well.

The quality of the awning seems very good and it is attractive. I would agree with all of the reviews I read about how hard it was to assemble. Our SunSetter awning is now installed and working perfectly. The order process, delivery and final product all met expectations. Our only disappointment was the fact that we were charged a $50 delivery fee. All Wayfair ads stress free delivery and yet we were charged $50. What’s up with that. I absolutely love this awning. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It is very well priced and looks very pretty. Sorry for the delayed review, but I did need to hire someone to install it. The assembly and install were a little challenging, even for a master electrician. It wasn't the level of difficulty but rather very vague instructions and more than one incorrect picture. (we were smart about this) To assemble, have a helper on standby to pull the awning through the roller channel while someone else pushes it. A kid can help with this part. One person can assemble the main hardware. To install the brackets to the home, one person is fine as long as they have the correct drill bits and measure correctly. The brackets are great quality; however, they may not sit flush and level to the wall. We placed 2x2 blocks of wood behind each bracket to fill the empty space and make the install strong and level. To install the awning, you'll want a strong teen or adult to assist. The awning is very nice well made just installed Mother’s Day 2026 . The only issue we had the instructions were very vague not clear enough.
