This is a nice sturdy desk. It does take hours to put together but the instructions are easy to follow and very accurate. I gave it only 4 stars because of the time it takes and the fact that the electrical part of the desk could have been easier to hide cords and such. Desk is very lovely. Paid extra for assembly and that was fine as well. Issue, desk came in damaged. Very visible crack on top of the desk and is now sharp to the touch. Very disappointing. Something to keep in mind is the desk comes wrapped in shrink wrap and it’s hard to remove it unless there’s a small break in the wrapping. A replacement (from TX) was ordered and arrived not boxed with corner protectors/top and bottom cardboard pieces completely damaged and unusable. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. This Inbox Zero Lorentz sit‑stand desk showed up in two very heavy boxes (around 90 lbs each), so the delivery alone felt like a mini workout. Building it solo with ADHD took a few hours and a couple of “rewind and fix” moments, but the instructions were clear—I just managed to overlook a few things along the way. Once assembled, the quality really shows. The drawers and cabinet close cleanly, the desk raises and lowers quietly and smoothly, and the larger size gives me plenty of room for both work and gaming. The only confusing part was the wire hiders underneath—usually there are markings for screw placement, but this one had none. I also wish the cabinet had cable holes in the back or middle. The legs and frame are made from very strong steel and are coated with a heavy gloss paint. There is a small amount of assembly that is very easy for one person to accomplish. The only tool required is an allen wrench which comes supplied. The instructions are very easy to read and follow. They even include a packet of extra screws marked extra. The packaging is very well protective and it arrived in perfect condition. The motor that operates the adjustable height is very smooth and quiet and operates with the touch of the up or down buttons. Being the first review is scary. Where to start. First - the desk is beautiful and just what I wanted for the office. Good, solid material that came packaged very well and undamaged. Worthy of 5 stars. But, second - the shipping company was awful and asked me to come in at 7am because I would be the first delivery of the day. Annoying, but whatever. They didn't show up until 4pm that day. Third - the instructions are clearly from outside this country...which isn't a big deal as long as they are clear and accurate...they were neither. Mislabelled parts in the manual, one entire instruction manual for the desk wasn't included (or was never made) and then there were several steps where I realized "I should have been told to do this 5 steps ago".
