He seems to really like it and the jars are good size. They are ceramic, so he could break one of these, too, if not careful. There is a seal between the lid and the jar to keep things tight, which is a nice feature.i also like the small knob on top of the lid .It helps removing the lid when needed. Was really looking forward to receiving this canister set because they are so different, and the simplicity was appealing. When it arrived the lid on one was broken with multiple chips around bottom of each canister and edges of the lids. Wayfair customer service was helpful when I called, and I have received a second set. The new set came yesterday, and it had multiple chips around the bottom and the edge of one of the lids, as well. I thought about sending it back, also, but just decided that I would not use it for food and just display it on the shelf with my new bee/sunflower dishes. So, keeping the canisters was my choice, even though they will just sit there and look "pretty"!! But I cannot recommend them to future customers. After seeing the material they are made of (it's thin and kind of rough), and the way they were packaged (not once but 2 times), I believe they will always be likely to chip and crack and don't feel as if they are conducive to using for food. One thing I've noticed about the last few products I've purchased from Wayfair is the quality of their packaging has really declined. For almost 10 years I have been a repeat customer purchasing everything from housewares, garden statues to furniture, and I have been impressed with the quality of their products and their secure packaging, but I am disappointed to see their quality has become seriously lacking over the past year. Also, I think the cost of the canisters is a little pricey for what one gets . . . unless you, too, are willing to pay extra for canisters with no other purpose than to just look "pretty"!!. Peggy. I love the western style of these canisters. They look great in our southwestern style home. However, they had some ruff spots inside and in the bottom which were bothersome due to the fact that some of the ruff spots could injure you when sticking your hand inside them.
