It keeps the pan from touching countertop but by raising it a bit in the middle, it doesn’t cover the bottom of the pan. I feel it might work well and it does take up less space. Brautiful drip pans but did not fit my stove. I ordered them based on the model of my GE stove being included, but the packaging did not list GE as one of the stoves the pans.
