This is a heavy duty planter. And I mean HEAVY! It's heavy on its' own, but once this sucker is full of dirt and plants it was nearly impossible for me to move to the exact spot I wanted it on my porch. Just be mindful of that when planting. Keep it close by or in the place you want it to finally sit. It has one drainage hole on the bottom of the planter and one hole in the tray that sits in the center of the planter. I put a square of mesh landscaping fabric on the bottom of the tray before adding a few small stones then dirt to allow drainage but prevent the dirt from washing out of the hole in the tray and mucking up my porch.
