Was super easy to put together according to my boyfriend, just a lot of screws. Took about an hour to assemble. My son loves it! The slide is ridiculously steep though so could be a safety concern. We are so happy with this playhouse! Our daughter is 2 (almost 2.5) and has been absolutely obsessed with it since the day we set it up. The pizza oven and grill are such cute features and honestly what sold us — she loves “cooking” for everyone and serving little pizzas all day long. The working doorbell was also such a fun surprise and adds a really interactive touch that keeps her entertained. There are so many little details that make it feel extra special without being overwhelming. It took a few hours to setup but was overall fairly easy. The size is great too — big enough for imaginative play without taking over the whole yard. It feels sturdy, looks adorable, and has already become the main event every time we go outside. Having 4 kids, I knew this would be a big hit with my youngest son. His older brothers used to own the older Step2 model of this roller coaster, but I eventually gave it away. I usually wait until a certain age to surprise the boys with this set, but my fourth son is much taller. Having three older brothers, he is also much more mature and a quick learner. It arrived in many pieces, but everything was included and nothing was missing (what a relief!). It was super easy to set up, and it even came with stickers for me to apply to the design. Before I knew it, my youngest son was all over this. In fact, he cannot stop riding around on this roller coaster! From morning to night, he is on this roller coaster, which is why I still have not put it away. My husband and I decided to keep this one indoors due to the super hot weather outside, so that he can enjoy cool indoor time. Once fall is here, we will move it to our outdoor space for him and his older brother to enjoy. I love that the maximum weight is 50 pounds, which allows his older brother to bring back his toddler memories and have fun with his youngest brother! Although, I cannot tell you enough how many times a day I hear my 8-year-old and 11-year-old tell me how much they wish Step2 would create one for bigger kids to enjoy as well. Hint hint, Step2! This platinum edition is well worth it. It comes with a ride-on toy that looks like a motorcycle, a 9-foot track to ride on, and steps to climb up to the ride. It is excellent for 2 to 5-year-olds and up to a maximum of 50 pounds. This set is very well designed and safe for my toddler, who is having the time of his life! This would make an excellent gift for a 2-year-old for a birthday, just because, or as a gift from Santa. I look forward to adding other Step2 pieces to my backyard and home!
