My condo has french doors in the living room and one bedroom. Even with blinds, the east morning sun heats up the entire unit, taking it all day to cool down. I have been able to lower my thermostat an average of about 2-3 degrees during the day since applying the film and I no longer have to keep the blinds closed tight all day. Surprisingly, it didnt make my room seem dark. The photo above shows the doors with film on the right side only and you can see it doesnt darken the room much. I really like this. I purchased for my front door because I am not sure I will be able to put a curtain on the door that will look good with the shape of window. also, I like they window so really don't want to cover with a curtain if I don't have to. I have not actually used it yet so will update at a later time. **UPDATE** Today I was able to use this for the windows on my front door. It was super simple to measure and cut and works perfectly.
