Got this for my son’s room. I put a 1.25” butcher block top on it. The desk works great and lifts and lowers smooth. I have purchased other products from this company. Desk is very lovely. Paid extra for assembly and that was fine as well. Issue, desk came in damaged. Very visible crack on top of the desk and is now sharp to the touch. Very disappointing. Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors. This desk was actually very easy to put together and for the price point I love it! I will say make sure you double check the legs are the same length before you start as it says on page 1, because I swore I did and and then at the end it was at an angle so I had to take it apart partially to fix it. However, even the fix was pretty simple given how easy it was to put together! Definitely loving the new desk setup!
