Assembly took about two hours, though it would have been quicker if I had reviewed the entire instruction manual first. You can set up the desk as either right- or left-facing, which is a nice customizable feature. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. Great desk for a 9 year old. The drawers are fabric, the top one doesn't go in all the way because of the bar in the back. The two sections are held together with 2 wood pegs and isn't very sturdy and leaves a small gap. Our fabric drawers came really dirty. It was easy to put together and works as a nice first desk.. Overall, I’m really happy with this desk. It looks great, has plenty of storage, and the instructions made it easy to put together. The only issues I had were that one of the drawer handles arrived broken, and the desk doesn’t feel like it would support a ton of weight.
