This should have stated in the listing, but this is meant for a 6” mattress “max”, says that on the cover of the instructions. This also should have had predrilled pilot holes for slates. Threaded inserts would have been even better. I would have even been happy with some pencil marks showing how to evenly space the slates. But honestly you cannot expect too much from a company nowadays and this is probably about as good as the competition gets and is priced around the same.
