Spandex Sail Shade

I needed some shade for the car with the heat this year. I have purchased shade sails from WAYFAIR in past years. The awning arrived intact and we are in the process of completing this project: painting posts with tops and using dacron line with clips we can remove it for tropical storms/hurricanes. The color and fabric match what I have for other awning/shade sails. Thank-you.. Karen. Avon Park, FL. Tue Jun 30 2026

ColourTree super ring shade sails are the most durable shade sails on the market; they are made of 260 GSM permeable HDPE (high-density polyethylene) fabric with cable wires built into edges and integrated into our patented steel mounting corners.

Made very well!! Made a shade for the horses since it was going to be 105 all week. Material is thick and the cable running through it is nice because you don’t have to worry about the material ripping like a normal shade cloth. Hardware is nice and heavy. Anonymous. Mon Aug 03 2026

Update: we have the sail but are waiting on facilities to install. I appreciate how sturdy the handles/hooks are. Also being shipped to our new house. We are moving somewhere very hot in comparison so I’m hopefully this will help keep a portion of our new yard cooler. The large size will be great to cover a large part of the yard.. Jackie. Finally got this shade sail installed over my chicken coop and inside run. South Texas summers are brutal, but this is going to provide an escape from the direct sun. I’m very pleased with the quality. Came with all installation hardware, and husband didn’t have any issues installing it.. Amanda. Castroville, TX. Sat Mar 21 2026

I love my new sail shade. Just what I’d hoped it would be like installing. As a 78 year old fella, I had it attached to my house in no time at all. Now, I’ve got to find a way to layer another one. Back soon.. Robert. Roanoke, VA. Wed May 15 2024

Durable and easy to install. This product is very nice and a great addition to our back yard. Anonymous. Mon May 11 2026

This shade sail is made of a thick but flexible material that should provide just the right amount of protection from the sun without being a total "sunblock" (or completely waterproof) and the reinforced attachment points on the sail seem sufficiently strong. I haven't yet installed it, but the included kit appears to be very comparable to the separate installation kit I ordered just in case the included kit was flimsier or more difficult to use. This particular brand of sail offered a lot of different size options, which is ideal if you are looking for a sail to fit a space with unequal distances between the triangle points. The sail I ordered measures 20' x 20' x 28.3'. it came with a installation hardware kit but I can't yet comment on whether the hardware kit works well. I also ordered another hardware kit in case I needed a different installation option than the one included. Unfortunately, Wayfair said it delivered both when I never received the additional hardware kit. After waiting 3 days to see if there was a problem with how the item was scanned, I have reported the missing delivery and hope that I will receive that other installation kit so that I can choose which kit will work better for installing the sai.. The Super Ring Shade Sail is designed with durability and performance in mind, providing long-lasting protection from the sun. This breathable, UV-stabilized material allows air and water to pass through, preventing pooling during rainy days. This is a very high quality sail. I have yet to install it as I figured, like many of the other sails that it came with the hardware to do so. Unfortunately, hardware is secondary but, like I said, fabric is super thick and uses steel cable loops and metal corners for ultimate reliability. Will definitely update once fully installed.. This sun shade provides plenty of shade as you can see in the pictures! It filters the sun through. It comes in a variety of colors and sizes and does the exact thing it is supposed to. We used an existing fence and sunk two poles in to keep it up.. Rebecca. Long Beach, NY. Sat Jul 25 2026

Excellent heavy duty shade sail!. The continuous wire and heavy duty corner brackets make it vey strong and will no doubt last. The grey goes perfect with my house color so I used it over my open front courtyard. Blocks out at least 90% of the sun as you can see in the picture I took looking directly at the sun. Im writing this review based on packaging and quality due to the fact that I broke my wrist. I havent been able to install it yet, but i will update this review once I can. I got this to go over a cat area Im building on my property. Im hoping it will provide shelter from the sun and rain. It seems like its good quality. It came with all the hardware to install it and the directions seem easy to follow for installation. Once I install it, I will update this review.. Barbie. CA. Sun Nov 23 2025

Nice quality!!! Wow! The metal hardware “hooks” are really heavy duty and have some weight to them. The material is thick, very durable, and practically commercial grade. It also has a very slight shimmer to it which will look so lovely in the sun!. Robin. Irondale, AL. Tue Mar 11 2025
