I was hesitant at first because of the price, but after our first camping trip, I can confidently say this tent is worth every penny. My husband, our three large dogs, and I spent several days camping in it, and we absolutely loved it. The amount of space inside is incredible—we never felt cramped, even with three big dogs lounging around. It honestly felt more like a cabin than a tent. Setup was unbelievably easy. It took us less than five minutes to have the tent fully inflated and ready to go. No struggling with poles or complicated instructions—just inflate it and you’re done. We also got caught in a heavy rainstorm, and I was expecting at least a little water to find its way inside. Not a single drop did. Everything stayed completely dry, which gave us so much peace of mind. One thing I didn’t expect was the number of people who stopped by to ask about it. We received compliments all weekend! We used this tent for winter camping in March with a mix of light snow and rain, and overall it performed really well. The 300D Oxford material felt durable.We set it up with a wood-burning stove using the stove jack, and it worked great. I was initially concerned about how close the stove would be to the walls, but the spacing was actually very comfortable and safe.Inside, we were able to fit two twin air mattresses with a storage table in between, which worked perfectly as a side table. With the stove inside, I would say it realistically fits 2 people comfortably (or 1 queen/king mattress). Without the stove, you could likely fit an additional mattress.The awning is a standout feature — having a covered cooking area right outside the tent made a big difference, especially in wet conditions. Definitely worth getting the version with the awning.The only downside is that this “8-person” size does not have the top ventilation that the larger models (10- and 12-person) include. Because of that, we experienced noticeable condensation buildup along the walls. If your bedding touches the sides, it can get damp, so I recommend keeping mattresses slightly away from the walls and bringing a towel to wipe down moisture.One additional tip: if you’re using a wood stove, make sure your chimney pipe extends well above the tent height (ideally 9–10 ft). Mine was a bit shorter, and a few embers caused small, patchable holes in the roof.Overall, I’m very happy with this tent — it’s durable, functional, and worked great for cold-weather camping. So far so good. Please note that you are going to be out of breath if you use the hand pump to set this thing up. We have a battery operated pump used for the boat water toys, that helped us speed things up with set up. Also be sure to stake it!
