They didn't show up until 4pm that day. Third - the instructions are clearly from outside this country...which isn't a big deal as long as they are clear and accurate...they were neither. Mislabelled parts in the manual, one entire instruction manual for the desk wasn't included (or was never made) and then there were several steps where I realized "I should have been told to do this 5 steps ago". Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors. I called wayfair while waiting for the item to ship because I saw at 1 point that the assembly was being offered for free after I made my purchase and I wanted to add this to my order. I was told that it was going to be included but when I asked again the day before delivery, I was told that they didnt know what I was talking about. What I dont like is being told different things by different people. I would not be disappointed if I was never told that the service was going to be free only for them to tell me this was not the case 24 hours before delivery and furthermore if I wanted it now it would cost me $90..
