Both decorative and functional, the LunaLite Dual-Purpose Mushroom Stake is the first solar product of its kind that is decorative and functional given its ability to simultaneously up-light and downlight. The lights were not packaged well for delivery which resulted in broken pieces (see picture) of the stakes for posting. That said, I had some spare pieces in my garage that I was able to substitute. The outdoor solar string min mushroom lights look best in the dark when they are clearly visible. During the day they almost unnoticeable - pretty plain white looking. The pieces are not very sturdy. We have some blown glass mushroom lights that are beautiful and I was hoping that these would compliment them, but I'm not sure how long these will last given what I've seen so far.. Alvera. These are really pretty and whimsical at nighttime. They should definitely be put in an area that gets plenty of sun to work optimally. The packaging is terrible, however. Both times I ordered them, there wasn’t any outer packaging, just the manufacturer’s box, which wasn’t even taped shut on the ends. The second set I received was missing parts, which had clearly fallen out of the package during shipping.
