Works excellent! Built it with a solar pump kit (SKU: W120104564 sold by Wayfair) and fountain runs 24/7 and only turns off when water gets low and the pump safety valve turns it off so it doesn’t burn out the motor. When screwing the fountain pieces together let the pieces find their groove on the threads so the fountain stays level and is not lopsided once all together. If converting to solar you will need to pop out the rubber gasket that is in the middle of the bottom tier of the fountain. Split the rubber gasket at the seam and remove the electrical cord for the included pump and replace it with the cord for the solar pump. Use GE 100% Silicone sealant to fill any gaps/ spaces in the center of rubber gasket/ plug, reseal the seam with silicone and spread silicone around the outer edge of the plug/ gasket and put it back in the base, let set for 24 hours before adding water. Works great I have it set up in my chickens pool, they’re a little scared at the moment to go near it. Edit I contacted the company about the solar panel and topper that weren’t working properly. I was sent a new solar panel (different style) and it works great! The birdbath is beautiful! However, it is very light weight. I had to fill it with water and use grounding stakes to hold it down…just happened to be a very windy day when I received it.
