[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sojag canopy parts are well constructed. Very nice finishes on every piece. It would be pretty hard to complete this project without a helper. The assembly can be done in one full day. Became quicker construction when the impact gun was used, however we are used to that tool and knew how to not over tighten. We used a square early on to keep the upright supports square. It should be emphasized in the directions when to final tighten screws. The cross supports which secure the roofing material should NOT be tightened until all screws are installed from above which hold the roofing material down. This helps to line up the bolts through the tubing/cross supports. Packaging was good. Instructions were concise. Labeling on the parts was good.. Nict. Nash. Tue Apr 25 2023

This is a larger undertaking than building a dresser but with the right tools anyone can do it. I personally had to poor a concreete slab for the hottub. for the Gazebo itself it took me the weekend to install it with my brothers help. def a 2 man job and I wouldnt expect to instlal it by yourself. This Gazebo is beautiful and sturdy, but unfortunately it came with some scratches and little dents on the poles. The company should think about better wrapping to protect all the pieces. There was none. Everything was loose inside the box. Wayfair helped solving the situation.. Sabrina. NY. Sat Jun 19 2021

Update- Feb 2023. This gazebo does not hold up To snow Load. The edges fall Apart when removing the snow from the roof. Very disappointed! I hired someone to put this up on our deck. It came out really nice. No missing part and the guys did a nice job. The reason I only gave a 4 star is there isn’t a rain gutter. Didn’t realize that when I purchased.. Elizabeth. Townsend, MA. Takes a long time to put together. At least 2 people required, but 3 helped to get the next steps ready for the 2 putting together. Some of the holes were drilled great and screws didn’t work so we had to purchase our own. Otherwise, picture and dimensions as described. Bug netting is awesome.. Anonymous. Sat Aug 22 2026

I really like the look of it, but a couple of the roof panels are slightly dinted from manufacturer because there was no external damage to the boxes. The crew that built it for me pointed out that they see some panels like this when boxes are stored in the warehouse and compress on top of each other.. Suzanne. Gilbert, AZ. Sat Sep 06 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few months ago and I absolutely love it! My patio is getting a lot more use now that it's well-shaded from the sun. I drink coffee here in the mornings, and we occasionally eat dinner here. There is plenty of space for friends to socialize, and everyone has complimented my new gazebo. Right now, my wife and I are enjoying a glass of wine while sitting here on a perfect evening and watching the sunset. I'm so glad I got it! I can't say much about the assembly because I had it done by someone else. I believe I could have if I had more time in my life. I can say it took about 6 hours for two guys who do this for a living. We had it bolted to the concrete patio with wedge anchors, and it appears to be very secure. We've had some pretty severe thunderstorms recently, and I'm not concerned about this thing moving. I purchased an outdoor fan that hangs nicely from the ceiling hook. Someone else said they put up some screening and used magnets to keep it in place around the part of the roof that raises up. I purchased some screen but have yet to put it to use. Now that we have this gazebo up, which we enjoy, we occasionally work outside when we work from home. Having that option is wonderful. With the help of a lovely outdoor rug and some lovely outdoor furniture, we were able to make the gazebo quite comfortable. In order to hang out there at night, we also installed lighting. We enjoy entertaining as well, and this is always a hit at get-togethers and barbecues. Even our children now like spending time outside with us, so we can relax and sip wine while they play in the backyard. We find we are outside for hours now.. Robbel. Colorado. Mon Mar 27 2023

This gazebo is going to look incredible when I get it done. We have had some rain and needing to stain our deck, it has taken some time to get it in. The instructions that come with it our basically pictures which if you are like me, and can't put things together without a good explanation, this might be a challenge for you. The finish product is going to look just like the picture, but it does take a little patience to figure out the instructions. If the instructions were better, this would be 5 star.. Troy. Looks good. Has a small leak in the roof. Covers hot tub great. Delivery could have been better. No one called to say they would be delivering that day. Was scheduled for delivery 2 days later. No call and no one knocked on the door. Just happened to look out window and saw the boxes laying on the grass. The box was pretty beaten up. Website would not let me upload photos. I think we will be happy with this purchase. Linda. US. Mon May 08 2023

UPDATE: the gazebo only leaked that first time the day after it was built. I think the roof panels were a bit warped from shipping and straightened out over time. Now it doesn’t leak at all and is exactly what I hoped for. Very disappointed. It was delivered 10 days late and leaks. Easy to put together and looks gorgeous but leaks everywhere when it rains. It is on a flat surface and was installed correctly. I plan on getting rubber gaskets to put the screws in that attach the roof pieces and hopefully that helps. I’ll update the review if I notice a difference.. Elizabeth. Londonderry, NH. Sat Jun 17 2023

We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. We even had to use a ladder as a deadman because we needed a 3rd person when putting up the frame. outside frame.. Nicole. Hilliard, OH. Sun Jul 26 2026
