This Gazebo is beautiful and sturdy, but unfortunately it came with some scratches and little dents on the poles. The company should think about better wrapping to protect all the pieces. This gazebo is nice once completed. We were stuck at the beginning with the 4 roof corner poles. The entire screw and holder for the screws came out of the poles. Update- Feb 2023. This gazebo does not hold up To snow Load. The edges fall Apart when removing the snow from the roof. Very disappointed! I hired someone to put this up on our deck. I really like the look of it, but a couple of the roof panels are slightly dinted from manufacturer because there was no external damage to the boxes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few months ago and I absolutely love it! My patio is getting a lot more use now that it's well-shaded from the sun. I drink coffee here in the mornings, and we occasionally eat dinner here. There is plenty of space for friends to socialize, and everyone has complimented my new gazebo. Right now, my wife and I are enjoying a glass of wine while sitting here on a perfect evening and watching the sunset. I'm so glad I got it! I can't say much about the assembly because I had it done by someone else. I believe I could have if I had more time in my life. I can say it took about 6 hours for two guys who do this for a living. We had it bolted to the concrete patio with wedge anchors, and it appears to be very secure. We've had some pretty severe thunderstorms recently, and I'm not concerned about this thing moving. I purchased an outdoor fan that hangs nicely from the ceiling hook. Someone else said they put up some screening and used magnets to keep it in place around the part of the roof that raises up. I purchased some screen but have yet to put it to use. Now that we have this gazebo up, which we enjoy, we occasionally work outside when we work from home. Having that option is wonderful. With the help of a lovely outdoor rug and some lovely outdoor furniture, we were able to make the gazebo quite comfortable. In order to hang out there at night, we also installed lighting. We enjoy entertaining as well, and this is always a hit at get-togethers and barbecues. We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good. This will take 2-3 people to assemble (3 people for the roof to make it easier). If you are putting this together yourself you and helper or two should be able to get it done in about 6 hours or so. Once correctly assembled it is very sturdy and is exactly what we were looking for a more permanent structure. This replaces an all cloth (with metal frame) gazebo that we had and it looks like it is going to last quite nicely. The mosquito netting on the top is a bit of a joke. It isn't big enough to fit all around the interior roof. By the time you get half of the net up, the other half starts coming off the Velcro. Maybe it will stretch out over time? PRO's: - Very Sturdy once all assembled and mounted down. - Shipped with a lot of foam padding and hard wood ends to protect the roofing from damage. - Minor bends from shipping that could be bent back with pilers. - Cloth curtains and inner bug netting does fit all around (if installed correctly) to fully enclose the gazebo. - Cloth curtains also appear to be made of good quality fabric. - Says it will hold up to 3,000 lbs of snow, and wind gusts up to 55 mph. Where I live it will test this! CON's: - 1 of the 3 boxes is EXTREMELY HEAVY. We love the gazebo! We wanted a large, shaded outdoor space without having to worry about flying insects, especially mosquitoes. I like the curtain options - only netting, completely enclosed (good for a movie night or even backyard camping), all open (those rare months where there aren’t any bugs. The gazebo is huge and we put an outdoor sectional and dining table under it. With plenty of room to spare. We did notice there were a couple of spots that leaked rain but nothing some outdoor caulk couldn’t take care of. I put up string lights and hung an outdoor rated fan for the summer heat.
