Update after one year the reclining mechanism broke on one side so it cannot be reclined. The thin underside fabric that holds the stuffing in place has ripped on the other side. There’s not a proper way to reattach the fabric to hold the stuffing. I’ll be surprised if it lasts another year. A really great reclining sofa. The micro suede fabric is comfortable and looks nice. As a heads up for some people using micro suede for the first time, you should not use spray on deodorizer. Make sure you look up ways to clean a micro suede sofa. As other people have mentioned, the armrests are a little bit low, but not terrible. I think they’re a great position for when leaning off to the side, a little bit or even laying down across the sofa. The reclining handle is responsive and not hard to pull. The actual reclining feature is wonderful. There’s just enough resistance in the leg lift so that you don’t have to push too hard to make it go down or lift your legs up to make it go up. The center seat is also very comfortable. I have no complaints whatsoever about this sofa on day one In my photo, I have added a white and a purple PlayStation five controller for color reference. There is a slight green tint to the sofa when viewed with LED lightbulbs. But in natural sunlight, it does have a true grayish color. We bought this seat to add to the sectional we just bought to elongate the sectional set. It's nice that I we could customize the sofa more. All the pieces came for the sectional in great condition with no tearing etc. However there were three pieces, this chair included where there were small manufacturing defects with the locking systems. Like a clamp screwed in the wrong place or the wrong connector placed in a specific spot. This chair was missing a metal connector piece. We are still in the process of getting a hold of the manufacture to remedy these locking system issues. Other than these issues, we really like the couch. Very firm and will hold its shape well. Chenille fabric is very durable and washes great. We have little kids and I've been able to wipe off things very well. The chair backs are perhaps a little low for my husband but I feel supported and I am 5'4". We got the blue color and it is much lighter in person than the photos as a warning. The listing pictures have this as being a deep navy but it is definitely more of a cobalt blue-warmer tone blue if you have a well lit room. If this were in a basement with less natural light than I think it would look much darker. Overall, I would say I am impressed by the material and the firmness of the cushions for durability but for the price we paid I think the manufacturing issues are frustrating and I hope they resolve everything.. OH MY this couch is PERFECT for me. I bought it in the EARTH color and it's really a great sand color (without being too brown or gold). It's not at all gray if it looks that way in the photos. The photo from straight forward in front of it is most accurate for color. You can see that it goes with my rug 100%! (rug is from Amzn only $99! by the way). YES, it's VERY VERY firm and I love that. I'm femal and 60 with a not so young lower back (kind of cranky) and since the parts were pretty light I could put it together all by myself! (and I never do anything by myself). Don't let that fool you. Inside is a very well cut and sturdy/thick HARD WOOD (no cardboard or metal bars) so that was reassuring. I'm so happy with it I can't stop happy dancing. The instructions were simple to follow. Only once did I have to bang bang a part with a hammer to get things to line up but even doing that took seconds and BAM - everything there fell right into place. This is WORTH the money. It's a sturdy couch and any smaller person or small family or person with a smaller space can enjoy. MEASURE your space/so you don't buy this and find that it's too small. I'm a real chicken with buying anything like this online. What if it's the wrong color? What if it arrives damaged? What if I can't put it together? ------- Throw all those worries away and look forward to enjoying this couch, I know I will! I can't speak for the other colors, but I'd say this is a true sand or warm mushroom color for sure. I was going to order the brown, but the reviews said and showed it to be a light gold, and I definitely didn't want that. If I had the space, I'd order another one and place them together in an "L" shape...but that's only happening in a larger apartment. This was worth waiting for. Beautiful lines, and nice and firm. It's hard to find a new sofa that won't look anachronistic in a vintage 1930 home, but this does the trick.
