Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. Over time, both the foam and filling will naturally soften and conform with normal use; down-blend cushions will relax and puddle, which is considered normal and not a defect. The loose, zippered inside-back cushions are reversible and filled with bagged, channeled down-blend for lasting softness and comfort. To maintain fullness and ensure even wear, seat and back cushions should be fluffed regularly and rotated as needed.
