Our beautiful cats taught me that upholstered headboards are just a canvas for their kitty claws to destroy. As such, I had to find a replacement that the smallest members of our family won't take as an open challenge. I've always loved metal bedframes for their simplicity and timelessness. This bedframe provided the perfect economical solution to our in house designer (destructor) problem. Bonus: it looks far more expensive than it is. This is great. Seems structurally stable. Easy to put together. Two complaints. The silver metal bolts are visible on the outside of the posts, so I’m spray painting those to match the frame. The bigger complaint is that the mattress slides. The bottom rails are smooth and flush. there’s no recessed area for the mattress to sit in to keep it in place. So we will be installing a rail of some sort to keep it from moving every time you get in and out of bed.. Liz P. Ohio. Wed May 13 2026
