This doormat looks like it will work great for grabbing dirt from outside on shoes and paws so it doesn’t track into the house. The reason I think this is that the material is rougher, and woven so that surface up close is not smooth and flat. It’s more like a loop weave. I am not sure how absorbent it will be, but it does seem like you could absorb excess fluid with a towel if needed. I absolutely love this mat! I got it for my cat’s litter box. It is great! Keeps the litter from going all over the place. I have had many mats made for litter boxes, but I have not liked them as well as I like this one. This mat is heavy duty and made with high quality materials. I’m sure it will last a long time.
