The sensor detects humidity and turns off at the exact point when cooking is done. The sensor will also work for reheating food and beverages. With a soften/melt option you can get your butter just right for baking, or your ice cream for eating. If you’re in a rush you can defrost your food based on weight or time. For some added safety this unit comes with a child lock to prevent little fingers from playing with the buttons.

Product is what we needed as the kitchenette required a smaller microwave. Product arrived damaged but nothing would have indicated damage looking at packaging. The damaged parts (dents on both sides) were easily concealed when installed but that was also a bit of a hassle. My husband is an electrician & has hung quite a few microwaves, yet he wasn't a fan of the install. We tested after install, it works & no issues with the unit at the moment (not being used as we aren't moved in at the moment). We did contact Wayfair about issues, they contacted Danby on my behalf & Danby contacted me the next day. After an exhaustive search we found this perfect ZLINE microwave to put in the corner of our new kitchen next to the pantry. This is an OTR model but it can be mounted as we did. It convenient yet out of the way, not taking up counters pace. We didn't care for the microwave in a drawer, so this was the fix. The tubular handle matched other appliances. My only thought was I wished the handle matched. For some reason it's shiny chrome on a stainless trimmed front? You don't notice as it's in the corner, but we did wonder.
