Was looking for a screen door for the side door in my garage. Considered a few different types before settling on the Magzo. Mainly liked this one because the vertical aluminum bars in each section of the screen made it seem more robust compared to the ones that are just a full screen. The description and sizing were a bit confusing. When it says "lock" what they mean is the latch has a switch that can be flipped left or right to allow the latch to be opened or not. After purchasing I found the manufacturers website where they actually have a version with a "keyed lock". Anyhow, it was good enough for my needs. The sizes available on Wayfair are "standard" door sizes which I thought meant that they are appropriately sized for the door you have, but it turns out that is not the intent. You have to measure for inside or outside frame installation to find the size that will work for you (if you need a different size to be able to mount the door, these "standard" options may not work for you). Also found on the manufacturers website that they sell them as custom sizes that you select according to your specific needs, not standard sizing like the Wayfair page implies. The product was shipped in a very sturdy cardboard box but oddly the ends were just taped with clear shipping tape (see pictures, rough shipping may cause the package ends to come undone and possibly damage the parts). My package arrived intact no significant damage or missing pieces, but I did have some scrapes and scuffs on the finish in some areas (see pictures). Assembly was fairly simple and luckily the size did fit my door with only some gaps to fill at the top. The door opens and closes without any hiccups; the latch is a bit hard to engage on one side but may improve with some adjustment (it's bidirectional so I just use the other side). The screen itself seems pretty sturdy, and I don't feel like it will tear easily. The folding mechanism seems well designed. The breeze from the wind is reduced significantly with the screen door closed but air does pass through (I use it in conjunction with another screen on the main garage door to increase airflow). Overall, I’m very pleased with this wall-mounted solarium and would give it a solid four stars. It arrived extremely well packaged, and all of the parts, screws, and hardware were clearly labeled and organized. The metal feels substantial, the paint finish appears durable, and everything went together very well for the most part. Once installed, it feels sturdy and looks great. There are a few important caveats. This appears to be designed for installation on a perfectly level patio. The doors and windows all sit within a fixed bottom track, and there is no real adjustability to compensate for a sloped surface. My patio slopes away from the house, so my contractor had to create custom supports from vinyl board beneath the track to raise and level the front, while also filling the gaps along the sides. It worked, but it added a considerable amount of custom work to the installation. The nuts and bolts used to attach the panels along the bottom track were also frustrating. They are small, finicky, and difficult to see and tighten while working close to the ground. A few have since come loose, which is concerning because the internal bolts are no longer accessible once the structure is fully assembled. The doors slide nicely and have a very strong magnetic closure. In fact, the magnets were almost too strong, so I added a few small pieces of stick-on felt to make the doors easier to open. The windows pop in and out easily, and holders are included for storing them. However, the holders could really use a small lip or raised edge on the front to keep the windows from sliding out. I plan to mount the holders on my fence so the panels can be stored safely off the ground. The gutter system is probably one of the weaker parts of the design. It also relies on the structure being perfectly level. Otherwise, water can collect in the gutter or spill over the front, which then gets the screens and windows wet. They did make an effort to seal and bug-proof certain areas, but other sections were left with noticeable gaps. I will need to come up with additional solutions, likely brush-style weather stripping, to close those openings. I also wish the windows were clear. Unfortunately, they are not. The smaller models apparently have self-storing windows, but on the 20-foot model the window panels have to be removed and stored separately. Despite those issues, this has been an awesome addition to the back of my house, and I’m very glad I bought it. It was a significant investment and honestly a bit of a leap of faith because I was worried it might turn out to be cheap junk. Thankfully, it does not feel cheap at all. The 20-foot model has two strong center supports, and we bolted the entire structure securely to both the house and the concrete patio. I’m hopeful it will hold up well through the winter as advertised. I do plan to add heat tape to the roof to help clear snow if we get a particularly heavy snowfall. Overall, the quality and finished appearance are very good. It is not a perfect design, and installation may require extra work if your patio is not completely level, but it has still been a fantastic addition to my home.. Thomas. Buffalo, NY. I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great! Product quality is very good. Assembly instructions were confusing. Took about 2hrs to put together correctly. After sorting out steps it should have taken no more than 45 mins. Unfortunately, after a couple of days "Sami" became indifferent to it. Wasn't worth giving up a living room window for limited use. He doesn't mind the sill of a screened open window. Decided to return it which turned into a bit of a hassle. It had to be sent back using original packaging or equivalent. I took photos of each unpackaging step. Without them, repacking it would have been next to impossible. Wayfair did offer a partial credit if I wanted to keep the item and skip the return process. The ~$35 credit against the $169.99 cost was not acceptable to me so, I managed to repackage it and send it back. Had to pay FEDEX return shipping charge of $33. My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I added mesh wiring instead. The enclosure is 3 sided and backs up to the wall which works perfectly fine in our case as it gives us access to open and close our windows and shutters.. Arb65. Ca-usa.
