I accidentally bought the wrong size so way too big, but on a good note it’s doing exactly what I needed it to do. Has held up great with high winds, snow, rain. I did put block on the inside since it was so big (once again my fault) but nothing got into it. Ok. First, we got this for our soft cover gazebo. With this, we have to take the soft cover off before the winter since it won't stand up to that weather -- it gets kind of old having to take it off and put it back on every year. With this cover, which will protect it all over the winter, we won't have to remove the first covering /layer every year. So that's great, and after some monumental efforts on the part of 4 of us, including using ladders and poles, we got this installed. Installation is really just getting this on the top of the gazebo, and then moving it into place. So you might think that's easy, but the gazebo is up at about 7 feet, this cover weighs A LOT! And the cover is all one piece. There's only one way to do this - get on ladders, pull it up, get it in the right direction (and it has to go up over the center piece which is raised). So, using ladders and grappling hooks, we accomplished this. It fit well (it was sized a bit larger than our gazebo). And it appears to handle the wind - we had some wind gusts come up, and everything stayed in place. the material is strong. It's got as the description shows, windows on one side, and a zipper door on the other. Here's the limitation. Our gazebo is on our large deck, situation right against the house/patio door, so we can walk from the house to the gazebo. We can see our boat and canal and river view from the gazebo. What happens with this canopy is, when the sides are all down and it's the winter, for example, you can enter the gazebo and sit enclosed and look out the somewhat small windows to the view. That's ok for the winter, except we have dog and the only way to let them out is to get out through the now solid canopy enclosure, since there is a door only on one side. We can work with this. From the photos, I hope you can see, we rolled up the enclosed side (which happened to have a zipper on one corner, but not on the other? A zipper on both would have worked well (we may create one). But we rolled it all up anyway, which allows us to enjoy our gazebo as we had been. Once the winter comes, we'll roll it down and work something out for the dogs. This gazebo is fantastic. It took my husband and a friend about 5 days to put it together. They worked about 5 hours every and the last day was just getting the fit on the patio and drilling the holes into the concrete to get it set and then hanging the screens and curtains. They did a great job and my husband followed the instructions fairly easy, as he was in construction and used to reading drawings, so it wasn't hard for him. Everything went together as it should have. I think one screw hole was out of alignment, so he made a new one. Other than that he had no problems putting it together. We love the size of it, its double of what one gazebo normally is. Gives us plenty of space for furniture and a fire table, and still room to add an eating table which I have not purchased yet. We love its wind resistance too. We get some crazy winds in the desert, sometimes 60+ mph, and we've since had just a couple days like that, and we have found it to hold up just great! You do hear a little rattle with that kind of wind, but not much. Its solidly in the ground and the parts are solid, holding together well. Can't beat this gazebo for its sturdiness and beauty. Function is awesome and I know in the summer we'll be able to close the curtains when the sun starts beating in any direction, and screens if the flies show up while eating. I live about 1,000ft from a bay that connects to the Gulf. Our area requires 150mph wind rating. This only has a 35mph wind rating. Honestly, I’m not sure of any place that never gets wind over 35mph. There are some really cool features with this gazebo that I must've missed when originally looking at the description but number one for me is that the roof panels actually let in some light. Somewhat translucent-ish. They are not totally sun blocking which in the Pacific Northwest is HUGE. Assembly was easy enough. I put it together in an afternoon with a little bit of help. I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. The hardest part was the height of the roof and the reach needed to attach some screws. None of the work is challenging. It just requires some basic construction skills and teamwork (patience).. It’s a great cover for our 10 x 12 gazebo. I like the extra length so it’s not such a tight fit as my previous cover. We use our gazebo in the winter with our fire table and we open the window and door a bit to let the gas out and air in. I love this gazebo! It was not easy to put together, it took 4 of us about 7 hours. But I absolutely love it! It's well made and feels like it's going to last a long time. The 4 posts are not solid wood, they feel hollow and if you look close you can see the seams in the wood where they put it together. But I still love it. It shipped in 4 boxes, and you'll definitely need 2 people to move the boxes around. The hooks are nice, I have 2 battery operated pendant lights hanging from them and it looks great! We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. I was nervous at first, because the photos show the posts and headers as multiple pieces. It sagged in the middle at first, but when screwed in place to the deck, the header straightens right up. The brackets are heavy duty metal, fastened through pre-drilled holes in the treated wood.
