Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. For the price, its a good couch. My husband was able to put it together himself, he said it was very tedious though. The seat cushions are truly pillow top - they look like a pillow was attached to a foam cushion (not saying thats a bad thing, just giving a visual). All in all it will do the job, though Im dont think I would recommend it to someone looking for a luxury couch. These seem good and comfortable, and the swivel mechanism works well. I found that the box part of the chair was a bit more complicated than I normally experience…a lot of the holes had the threaded canal, but somehow were filled with wood.
