This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I've had this in my office for the past four years. It has held up surprisingly well. People visiting my office for the first time constantly tell me how pretty and comfortable this loveseat is. It has a nice, cozy vibe. It does look a little sloppier with age - the fabric starts to wrinkle and slip a bit - but it just gets more and more cozy. There was, however, a pet-related incident a while back in which I discovered that this sofa is, unfortunately, very difficult to clean. My room is sherwin Williams alabaster and has lots of grey and greige accents! It’s perfect!! Grey, blue, beige ,taupe and a little rusty brown as well -it’s a soft material -the side pillows are flimsy but I have some filler I may add to them. The instructions were not easy to follow at all. We have the same exact couch in a grey but I don’t remember it being this hard to set up. The couch is solid though and we must have liked it for us to get 2 of it! This one is in our family room and it has a beautiful royal blue color to it. If you are looking for a less bulky set that is still long and has room, this should do it. It does not look cheap. But I will say this - from knowledge of the other grey one we have, the fabric starts to have piles on it after a short time and this happens with age and from rubbing (sitting) upon it. I am now seeing that there might be ways to remove piling from furniture.
