I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. This is a work in progress. I’m so far very happy with the quality of this range hood. The look is what attracted me to it. I wanted something modern but not too common. Great downdraft vent! Rises high enough to pull most smoke and steam away from all pans, much of it from the front burners, but the back burners are a no-brainer - nothing escapes, especially when the fan is turned to high. Fan control is smoothly variable from almost silent to roaring hurricane strength. Recommend that you use a large diameter vent to the outside to prevent back pressure (we have a 6" adapted down at the fan). The up/down limit switch is easily adjustable, and is covered when adjustment is finalized, so (kids) cannot tweak it for us. Great purchase and we are very happy with it.. James. Orefield, PA. HORRIBLE experience all around from Wayfair. This item arrived not working. Called wayfair, who immediately washed their hands of it and said I had to call the supplier - Eurochef. I stated that I was confused because if I order a product from Wayfair, I expect to deal with wayfair. I called Euorchef and started over 2 months of back and forth. Eurochef's employees are downright rude and hateful. I've never been treated so poorly in all my life. The owner of the company insisted over and over there was nothing wrong with the unit. And it was our electric. Paid our electrician to come and test his brand new wiring while on the phone with Eurochef's tech line. Waited for eurochef to send techs to fix the unit. They came twice and could not get the unit to work. I have spent days of my life dealing with this, I have been holding a contractor- paying him thousands weekly to keep him from moving to his next job because my kitchen cant be completed without this installed. I took days off work to meet the tech company, I had to reach out a total of 23 times between eurochef, wayfair, and the tech company they assigned... and finally was told they can't fix the unit and will refund my money. Was also told by wayfair I could wait for a replacement to come back in stock or get a refund. 2 days later I have to call wayfair AGAIN because there is no trace of the refund. They show no correspondence about that refund taking place. Finally after another 20 mins of my life wasted they agree to refund the item (for the second time). And I ask what will be done for all the money I am now out from this whole experience. Nothing. They tell me nothing can be done. I will never purchase again from Wayfair. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pull-out hood with a very low profile when installed. You can only see about 1" of the face, unlike most other hoods. I looked long and hard to find a hood like this. The suction of this hood is very good. Cleaning the filters is easy. They are removable and can be washed in the sink. There are three different levels of exhaust suction, even the lowest setting is suitable for most kitchen tasks. I like the brightness of the built-in lights. They have a warm color to them..
