I really liked these barstools. Husband liked the ones he picked out best and he won, so I returned these. The swivel was smooth and the back rest supportive. I (female in my 50s) put them together on my own and it was pretty easy. They looked great and felt solid. They may be a little small for larger people, like over 300 lbs. Bar stools are very pretty. I bought them in green to add a splash of color to my white kitchen. They are very comfortable and fit wider rear ends. The leg did have a skin in it that I covered with a furniture marker. 3 of 4 chairs needed adjusting, but they make that simple to do with the feet of the stool.
