I received this metal rooster and hen garden statue by Rosalyn Wheeler through the Wayfair, tried and true program. We have done some serious renovation to our yard over the past two summers and this summer, I have the joy of “decorating“. These two adorable metal garden statues are ideal! The chicken comes fully assembled and comes with hooks to insert between the toes of the chicken feet into the ground to stabilize the statue. The rooster comes in three pieces, but it’s minimal assembly. The feet have one screw to turn to secure the feet to the body, and the tail does not have a screw or bolt. It inserts into a metal slot at the back of the rooster. At first, I thought this might not be very stable however, I have found that it is completely stable and it stays very secure. A tip that I think you should know is before putting the tail on gently pull forward, the tail and feathers on the body of the rooster. Doing this will allow you better access to the metal slot to insert the tail and then you can gently Fan the feathers back against the tail, making it look more seamless. Before I did that I inserted the tail and it did not look right. After gently doing this, it looks terrific. As you can see from my photos, they are a sizable pair. Even our 16 pound tomcat is interested in these two adorable birds. I look forward to putting them out in my garden immediately. Thank you, Wayfair. This was just what my garden needed..
