The shelving unit came well packaged and the instructions to put it together were very clear, it took me less than an hour to do it by myself. The shelving material is very nice which makes the unit very sturdy. I would take note that after assembly it needs to be placed behind the washer and dryer set so hoses and wires should be unpluggeddisconnected from the wall. I’m in a rental property and have a very tight laundry closet so I had to pull out the washerdryer to install this shelving unit. Once installed though it has been so nice to have the extra shelving to place my laundry essentials and storage bins within reach. It makes the space look well organized and aesthetic! This product was exactly what we needed for my sons dorm room. The room is already very small and tight and there is not much space for storage. With this shelf system we had room for the micro, the coffee maker, plus several baskets to hold cooking stuff, etc. Putting it together was fairly easy- I was not sure if the side shelf could go on either side and the instructions were not clear about it. By accident we assembled it and had the shelf on the LEFT of the fridge which is what we wanted due to the swing of the fridge door. I do wish it was a little more sturdy/stable. These are very well-built shelves! I have all our pots and pans in one cabinet and it’s heavy, and both shelves slide out easily! We bought 8 of these shelves for our kitchen and they’re all working great. They do require you to pre-measure your cabinets to ensure a correct fit, and they did take awhile for my husband to install, but rest assured, they are high quality! Helpful tip instead of installing these to shelves, we used furring strips on the underside of where we wanted the slide-out shelves to be, and then attached the shelves to those.
